When you want to create an online course for students to learn from there are various options to chose from. For the WHAT THE HACK?! project the consortium decided to go with Thinkific as it is an “easy-to-use, all-in-one online course platform”.

The very first International Training week in Parnu, Estonia
The very first training week for students finally happened! Initially it was planned to happen exactly 2 years ago, but as we all know, the world was struck by an unforeseen event that halted all international travel and immobilized a lot of intended project activity. Nevertheless, we now did it!
Partner meeting in Estonia
After almost two years meeting online partners got to meet each other in person again in Parnu Estonia. This gave a good opportunity to present and discuss the #WhattheHack learning programme we have been working on these past months.

What the Hack "Capture The Flag"
The What the Hack Capture the Flag challenge is a 4-day competition between two teams of students from The Netherlands, Belgium, Estonia, and Spain. The Red team must hack their way into capturing the “flags” while the Blue team must find ways to protect them.
Kick-off partner meeting in Leeuwarden
The project meeting started at the venue of What the Hack partner the Foundation for CyberSafety Northern Netherlands (MKB Cybercampus). The building There is a start-up ecosystem of Leeuwarden, a place where ICT companies are located, and the knowledge institutes of Leeuwarden organise events and trainings for their students on the topic of Cybersafety and security.

Supported by regional stakeholders Learning Hub Friesland and the Foundation for Cybersafety in Northern Netherlands, Friesland College school D’Drive has the ambition of creating joint projects between public and private stakeholders around cybersafety, cybersecurity and ethical hacking to strengthen VET students in the digital era.
